Does anyone remember Ms. Fleciano (sic) who taught 7th grade Science. I use to dread her monthly projects. You had to be a rocket scientist to do some of her projects. Shocked

I have told my kids about her and the fact that we used to call her Miss Fleabag.

Wow,...I graduated from Franklin in 97 & "Fleabag" STILL held up!!! LOL

Then that means you weren't there to see her boyfriend....Oh my..they made an interesting couple.

When you were there, did she go on about how she was a virgin & saving herself for marriage? lol I respec her decision, but to tell 7th graders? I don't know

Oh boy, maybe that's why she was so nasty. She just needed to get rid of some frustration. LOL That is so not right though telling grammar school kids that.

I had Fleabag in 1976. I seem to remember her saying something like that. One thing I do remember is how she use to go on bragging how she was an straight A student & cried when she got her first B. In later years, did she give crazy projects every month??? I've must have failed almost every single project!

I had her homeroom, 7th Grade in 83. She was a pretty tough skinned, but if you got to know her and bonded, she was a good person...Miss Casterlin, now that was a nightmare, as were most in Franklin School, with a few exceptions...

I also had Miss Casterlin I believe for 5th grade. I remember she had a matching pair of shoes for every outfit she owned. She also used to open her closet door and brush her hair in the mirror all the time while teaching.

I'll have to agree about Fleabag being nice outside of the classroom. I had Casterlin as well. I thought I was the only one that had a problem with her. Has anyone else had the experience with her favoring the brainy students over everyone else. Everytime there was a play she would alway pick the A students, everyone else were extras. I made my 1st Communion late & every time I had to leave early for practice, she would give me a hard time. Her teach ethics stunk!

She was EXACTLY like that. I took bagpipe lessons, of all things...She hated that I got out of class for it...The program was open court and she was not only homeroom, but taught every subject in 5th grade...she was brutal and mean and really scarred me...I remember she bent over and had a huge hole in the seat of her pants one day, that was a sweet reward, no one told her and she walked around with it the whole day. She hated me very much. I had issues with subtraction and my mother showed me an alternate method she was taught back in Scotland. I went from F's to A's and she accused me of cheating. My mother went in the next day, gave her hell and that was that. She was still a bitch. I recall teachers from 3rd grade, Mrs. Markey, 4th, Miss Dolan also being nightmares...made me wish I was not in the open court program...

Another thing Casterlin use to do was cut people down when they were out sick. My best friend had a heart condition & was out a lot everytime she had a cold. She was being preped for surgery & they couldn't afford her falling ill to the slightest illness. Well one day she was out this b--tch went on & on how she was out too much & how she was failing & how she was barely passing. Believe that? It is to great to finally vent!
